NEW HAVEN SCRABBLE CHALLENGE

Knights of Columbus
57 teams competed at the 8th annual Scrabble Challenge. The event featured Matt Scott from WTNH TV and raised $35,000 to support Literacy Volunteers. When all the points were counted and the boards were checked, the New Haven Register team consisting of Sheilia Genovese, Melinda Lincoln, Katie Barrows and Pat Ferrucci edged out the Regional Water Authority to win the Corporate Cup. The Holahan Family team of Jake and Molly Bergman, Susan Holahan and Mary Johnson took first place in the Friends & Family Category and the John C. Daniels Elementary School team of Mariah Johnson, Tiasia Jones, Darren Cross and Brittany Gurley won in the Student Category.
